    1. Stop Throwing Money Away: turn clutter to cash, trash to treasure - and save the planet while you're at it! by Jamie Novak.I like this book! I have read quite a few organizing books, and just reading them does not make one organized. If just reading the books produced the desired effect, I would be slim and fit based on the number of diet and exercise books that I have read. Jamie gives good, concrete, budget friendly tips on how to organize and get rid of your clutter. Some of her ideas I don't [...]

    2. Good tips for people with clutter issues, though I don't think EVERY household item needs to be remade into some sort of organizer (examples included muffin tin, egg carton, toilet paper rolls, tin cans, shoe boxes, ice cube trays, etc etc etc. No one should have enough crap to fill all of these vessels. Offers useful questions to ask yourself when eliminating clutter: Do I need it? Am I lost without it?Have I already replaced it? How long have I lived without it?Do I have another object that se [...]

    3. Been clearing out my stuff over the last few weeks and am always up for more ideas to better use my space and get rid of clutter. Many of the strategies I use already, but Jamie pointed out a few things that I hadn't picked up on; stuff lying around sucks up space, energy and time you use sorting it out or looking for things. She also suggests using things around the house by changing them and re-using in a different way. Included are lists of websites to sell things, garage sale tips, wardrobe [...]

    4. Featured in35 Budget Living Picks for National Book Lovers Day on ShoestringMag :"Published years before "collaborative consumption" was cool, professional organizer Jamie Novak's self-help book is a funny, no-nonsense guide to "moneyizing" your stuff — turning clutter into cash while saving the planet while you're at it. You know that's right."

    5. I read this hoping for hints on how to psych myself into the frame of mind to part with years and years of accumulation of "stuff." The emphasis of the book is on selling your items for money in your pocket but I think I'm still in the rutt of just bringing it to Goodwill. I have a load in my car right this minute. It feels good to see space freed up in my house, not so I can store more things but so I can breathe better! I have to be a little sneaky because my husband feels the complete opposit [...]

    6. More of a book about decluttering and organizing than about saving money, though the two are definitely related. Personally, I would rather take my junk to the local Salvation Army or DI than to sell it online or to have a yard sale. Good reference book, but not THE organization book I am searching for.
