    1. I liked the story/plot itself, but the characters personalities irritated me to a point. The heroine was a real uppity by-the-manner-book lady that came across as bitchy and cold to her new husband. The hero was a gruff mountain man-type that would try to joke around with the heroine, but if she responded with a straight face (because she needed to be proper and control all emotions) then he would immediately get pissed and storm off angry.
