    1. The Start of UsRachel JohnReceived from authorTHE START OF US is the first book in the A Change in Plans series. Corrie Windsor is baby sitting her room mates daughter, four year old Ella. 2. I loved this one. It’s a fairly quick read at 156 pages it is longer than a novella but still short enough to get read in a day or two (at least for me). The characters were well developed and lovable. And while somewhat predictable there was also originality to this one. This is the first book in a series but they will likely be companion novels as this stands alone. I’m looking forward to Rachel’s next book and will most definitely read it!Rating: 5 Stars – I loved it!Source: Kindle Unl [...]

    3. Alas, this was another DNF book. I’ve read a couple of other books by this author and quite enjoyed them but this one sputtered on me. There isn’t anything bad about it and I almost finished before I simply gave up and moved to the next book. I did get pretty close to the end though as you shall soon read if you keep reading this review Corrie Windsor is a young woman who teaches on line. She also seems to have absorbed a neighbour and her little girl. She ends up looking after the little [...]

    4. This is my favorite book by this author. It was so good. She pulled me in from the first couple chapters and I couldn't wait to pick up where I left off. I loved Corrie. She was such a strong woman. She had so many layers to her. She was motherly, caring and sweet, spunky, sassy and independent. All of the characters in this authors books just jump out of the page and become real people while you're reading. I didn't want the book to end because I felt like I was losing dear friends. I am so exc [...]

    5. I wasn't sure what to expect from this author or this book and started reading without much in the way of expectations. What I got was an emotional roller coaster with joy, sadness, disgust, fear, and anger Now this sounds like a Pixar movie, haha.Corrie is a selfless woman who has put her own needs aside for her roommates child. Preston is an uncle, a good man who wants to do the right thing, even if it means marrying the woman he's dating when he's thinking it may not be the best for him anymor [...]

    6. Really predictable, but such a fun journey that I didn't care. Quick read. Clean. Can't wait for the second one. Makes it crystal clear why communication is vital. Liked the story line. Complicated emotions and situations involved. I liked that Preston's fiance wasn't made to look like a witch to draw a comparison between her and Corrie. She was just a regular person with human feelings. I'd probably read this one again.

    7. A sweet story of making a sad, tragic situation work in a way that's best for the child. Little Ella is adorable. I loved her so much. And I loved Corrie and Preston's relationship with her - individually and when they were all together, as well as their growing attraction and feelings for each other. A wonderful story.

    8. They both love the little girl, can they really love each other? What a great story, romantic and funny and full of misunderstandings, mistakes and happenstance, just like real life. Finally, an author who understands real kids, how they think, feel and fill our hearts! Can't wait to read Rachel John's next one.

    9. AwesomeWell written holds the readers interest throughout the entire book. Highly recommend this book. This book is very entertaining reader can’t wait to see what happens next

    10. Loved, loved, loved this story. The characters were so compelling that it was hard to put it down. Well done. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
