    1. 3.5 stars -Amelia's character, porrtrayed as a doormat, drove me nuts. The writing style also felt a tad amateurish.

    2. An epic, thoughtful thriller-I was a beta reader for this, and I really liked it. The characters are well-drawn, and diverse; we get a good cross section of people in this society. Thoughtfully tackling inequality issues in the context of a luxurious, futuristic cruise ship, there were plenty of descriptions of exquisite delicacies, but the visible and invisible price tag on them was also very clear. As the idyllic cruise turned to disaster and terrorism, both sides of the issue were examined ve [...]

    3. A futuristic cruise ship full of the moneyed elite. What could go wrong? The good: the main characters were well written. They each had their own back story and their motivations were understandable. The setting, a dying America, where the class disparity is widening and resources are becoming limited, is a bit different than most of the dystopian novels out these days. The not so good: The novel is set a few decades in the future, but there doesn't seem to be much new technology - and that which [...]

    4. This is one of the best YA novels I've read this year. It's so much more than characters running around trying to get out of a dangerous situation. Not having read the blurb, it was the middle of the book before I had an idea of where the plot was going. But that first half is spent in character / world building that makes you believe this story and these people could be moving around, outside your door, tomorrow. There is very little Sci Fi involved and what there is, will probably be doable ver [...]

    5. The book told the story through 4 points of views of new adults on a rich cruise. 1 poor girl who's mother just happened to win the cruise lottery. 1 poor guy who allied himself with a known homegrown terrorist group. 1 brother of the previously mentioned who believes in doing what's right and fixing the wrong and sees the rich folk as human too. 1 rich girl who's father is the CEO of a biotech company that cured cancer.I found this book to be eye opening. It reflects the divide we are facing to [...]

    6. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This book was intense! It started off kind of slow but as the story progressed I understood that it was to get to know the characters better. I really liked that a lot because it made the story more personal. I felt sad and scared for them and wanted everything to be okay. It's told from the perspective of four different passengers on a cruise ship and it was done really well! She was able to make each character stand out and there were [...]

    7. This is the third book I have read by this author and I really like her style. Stone’s characters are multi-faceted and the plot is exciting and fast-paced.A Sea of Shattered Glass follows a number of troubled young adults seeking to make sense of a dark and polarised world where the super rich dominate, and everyone else struggles to survive. Set against the backdrop of an opulent cruise, Amelia, Willow, Micah and his brother, Gabriel, are from both sides of the divide. Caught up in events be [...]

    8. I was so amazed at how wonderful this book was. The character building brought me in andd kept me rooting for them. I laughed. I cried. My heart broke. I hoped for the best. What a fantastic, twisting, heart pumping, thrill of a read."Expendable or not, he had to do this. Expendable or not, he could still be brave. He decided who he was, not these people. If he had to die here, he could at least make sure it meant something." Micah was a wholesome, innocent, brave and endearing character. I bond [...]

    9. A gripping thriller with characters you care aboutThis is a complex and fascinating story. Despite the sizeable list of viewpoint characters, you come to like, or at least identify, with all of them. Their motivations are understandable, and while you may not always agree with their choices, everything makes sense. Midway through the book I had already bitten my nails to the quick, and the tension continued to ratchet up as the story progressed. Buy this book. You won't regret it. Few authors ha [...]

    10. This action thriller pulls stories straight from today’s headlines and shows a near future possible timeline. The vacation of a lifetime turns into a nightmare for the passengers on a luxury cruise liner. When the Ship is hijacked by terrorists, the story follows the adventure of brothers Micha and Gabriel, two hard working cruise employees, Willow a sweepstakes winner, and rich and beautiful Amelia. Family drama along with politics, social, and economic themes mixed with betrayal and greed pl [...]

    11. I received an arc of this book for an honest review Kyla has such a vivid imagination I can’t begin to express my love for it. Definitely one of the better YA novels I’ve read in a long time. So much action and the plot twists! The characters were fully fleshed out and felt like you could know them and fall in love with them or fight a war with them. The suspense was crazy and I lost much sleep because I just could not put it down. I recommend highly.

    12. A well written book with a engaging plot and interesting characters. A different take on a YA adventure. The book captured my attention at the beginning and kept me page turning until the end and then I was sad that it ended. A little science fiction, a little fantasy , suspense and a whole lot of action. A great book that was a pleasure to read. A sequel would be fun. I received an arc copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.

    13. This was quite an interesting read. It was a future thriller but I'm not so sure it was too far in the future. I think things that happened in this book would happen during this time also. I think maybe this was how the Titanic was viewed. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

    14. Heart-pounding page turner!!!This book grabbed my attention from Page 1. I was hooked!!I loved all the characters. Their unique personalities captivated me and pulled me into their story.I can't wait for the continuation of this gripping story!

    15. I recieved this this book as an ARC copy.I enjoyed reading the book. I found it a little slow when it started. There are a few characters and it takes a while to introduce them all, but once the story begins to roll I could not put it down. Willow was my favorite character to follow in this book.

    16. The suspense in this book made me want to read faster and faster. I liked how the introduction catches you from the beginning and I wanted to find out what happens to all the main characters.

    17. *I received an ARC ebook, via BookFunnel, and I am voluntarily giving an honest review*Whilst the rest of the world goes hungry and dies from disease, the mega-rich elite enjoy a holiday aboard a luxurious cruise ship. Under the surface, however, things are not as they seem: rich Amelia both loves and fears her stepfather and longs to live her own life; Willow resents being stuck babysitting her younger siblings on what was supposed to be the holiday of a lifetime; Micah works as a waiter and st [...]
