    1. 4.5 Stars Oh yess this was a beautiful read. Full of feelings and they were just where they should be.For me this was the most imposing one from this serie. Although it’s #3 you can read it as a stand alone of course reading the first two is even better.Shane and Chris Chris from Australia works as a tattoo artist. At the age of thirty five wondering if their ever be afuture with a family and kids.Shane returns from Florida because of a family crisis. He thought he never returned but fate orKa [...]

    2. I'm quite skeptical going in to read about Shane and Chris. Shane is the bad guy from Book 1 Patience and a total douchebag to both Troy and Xander. I wonder how will this book redeem his character and make me like him.Shane came back to Dublin for his family. His sister is on deathbed and Shane had to be his nephew's guardian. Is a lot of responsibilities and burden for a young man like Shane and I can see his life as he know it it totally upheaval. Chris is the Australian hottie that works for [...]

    3. 4 StarsShane moved away to Florida years ago, but now he's back in his hometown of Dublin, Ireland. His sister is dying and he's come back home to say goodbye and help raise his young nephew. Chris left Australia 10 years ago and came to Ireland to meet his grandmother, and even though she's since passed away, he decided he had nothing left down under, so he's made a life for himself here in Ireland. Shane and Chris meet in a pub and hook-up, but when Chris tries to exchange numbers with the man [...]

    4. This is the third book in the Dublin Virtues m/m romance series and when I knew it was going to feature Shane as one of the main characters I was a little apprehensive to read it. For the first two books it was clearly outlined that he was an absolute pig who had left Troy in the lurch when he was supposed to be a partner in the new tattoo parlour business with Troy. Chris is a new employee in Troy's tattoo shop and on a night at the pub he hooks up with a sexy stranger. When Chris goes to suppo [...]

    5. Wow! Sorry if this is a bit rambling, but there are a LOT of emotions after finishing this book!If you've read the previous books in this series, you cannot forget Shane from book 1. This is Shane and Chris' story. Shane has returned from America and not for the most pleasant reasons. Shane's sister, Ann, has a terminal illness and is in hospice. Shane will be assuming guardianship of his nephew Danny. Shane??? Shane is going to be responsible for a little human? OMG!Speaking of Danny, THANK YOU [...]

    6. A Joyfully Jay review. 5 starsRecently, I have been in a reading slump, left feeling unsatisfied by books I have finished. For me, there was a sense of excitement about beginning Renewal, knowing that Helena Stone’s stories never disappoint me, though Renewal surpassed all my expectations.Renewal is the third book in Stone’s Dublin Virtues series. I have hugely enjoyed the previous two novels with Patience leaving me feeling warm and fuzzy and Equality filling me with pride and positivity. R [...]

    8. ~ 4.5 Stars ~ Renewal by Helena Stone follows Shane Boyle and Chris Anderson. Both men are somewhat damaged. Shane has moved back to Florida because his sister is dying, and he needs to take the responsibility of caring for his five-year-old nephew. He’s a man who has difficulty committing to anything, particularly men, preferring one night stands. After all, men will eventually leave him, so he may as well beat them to the chase.Chris moved back to Ireland after discovering that he had a gran [...]

    9. 3.5 stars - Shane is the bad guy from book 1, the guy who left Troy high and dry when he up and took off to Florida leaving Troy to struggle with opening their tattoo shop. He also tried to come between Troy and Xander in the beginning of their relationship. So, needless to say, he has not been a good egg from the start and he had a lot of making up to do this time around.Chris is one of Troy’s employees who happens to meet and hook up with Shane one night, only to run into him again when he h [...]

    10. Renewal by Helena Stone3.5 Stars – Review by Dawn HoneycuttRenewal is the third book in the Dublin Virtues series and honestly, my least favorite. We’ve read about Shane throughout the entire series and he is nothing short of a complete and total jerk (I’m using a P.G. word, but I can think of plenty of colorful words to describe him better). I’m all for the jerk learning lessons and getting his HEA, but frankly, Shane didn’t do anything to deserve it in this book until about 60% of th [...]

    11. After reading the other books in this series, I went into Renewal with some strong negative opinions about Shane--and rightfully so considering his behavior until now. I had very little faith that a story could be written for him to redeem his actions, and a built-in dislike for his character before I even started reading this story. So what does the author do? Turns my emotions upside down to where I would now be considered a staunch defender of Shane--not of what he did and said previously, bu [...]

    12. Alright, so… I’ve come into this one, not realizing that it was book 3 in the series… I know, I know…my fault… It didn’t really take anything away from the story though, but it did make me want to go back and read the other guys’ stories, so I’ve already bought the first two…. It’s that good!As anyone who knows me, knows I’m a sucker for a hot guy with a kid/kids. This story didn’t disappoint. Shane, I guess as it seems from previous books that he was a bit of a selfish t [...]

For two books I literally hated Shane. I hated what he had done and how it was done. I was upset that he allowed arrogance and greed to shape his life. And then I started this book and like the fog lifting, there was the explanation. THERE was all the reasons why. And when he told Chris: "You make me wan [...]

    14. I feel like I have to start by saying I went into this one wondering how Helena Stone could make Shane into a redeeming character after his jerkiness but she really delivered. I appreciated what Shane was dealing with in Renewal and felt for him and it really did my heart good to see him grow. I adored Chris right from the start and so loved his loyalty towards Shane, not dismissing his crappy behavior in the past but believing in his future. These two really are meant to be. Shane has returned [...]

    15. Shane Boyle left Dublin a couple of years back for better things in Florida on his terms which didn't really leave many un-burned bridges to come home to when tragedy strikes. Chris Anderson came to Dublin from Australia a decade ago and even though his career has found a home at Pins & Needles Tattoo Parlor his personal life is not as satisfying. When these two meet one night and have a bit of a hook-up their lives will never quite be the same even if they aren't exactly on the same page at [...]

    16. As much as I enjoyed Patience and Equality, the first two books in the Dublin Virtues series, I shamelessly admit that Renewal – for me – is handily my favorite and left a far greater impression on me.For those who have already read the first two books and been introduced to Renewal’s main characters Chris and Shane, any and all preconceived notions should be left at the door before opening the book. Chris is still the solid, well-rounded nice guy, but he’s so much more than that. His pa [...]

    17. Think this was probably my fave of the series. I always love an anti-hero.This one is about Shane. We've heard nothing but bad about Shane through book 1 and 2. This one see's a huge turnaround.Shane is back from Florida. He's started working in VikInk again. The shop is down by a worker so the owner has asked Troy for help. Troy agreed to loan him Chris for one day a week for a month. Chris enters VikInk on his first day and encounters Shane. He's met Shane before in the pub and after a steamy e [...]

    18. Book & Author: Renewal by Helena StoneRating: 5 starsFirst off, I love this freaking series. I swear each one gets better than the last and this one just about broke me. Bring the tissues!! The heartbreak was some of the most poignant writing I’ve read in a good long while. The time it took for these two guys to finally connect for more than the brief hook up thy had in the pub was well paced since Shane had so much going on in his life. Shane was the one here that needed the time to move [...]

    19. I received a copy for reviewing purposes Having read the first two books I wasn't sure I'd enjoy a story with Shane as the hero, especiallygiven how he was portrayed in the previous ones. However Ms Stone does an excellent job of redeeming him and turned him into the perfect hero for this story. I really respected Chris because he was so patient and loving with Shane at a time when he needed that the most. Overall, I think this one might end up my favourite story from the Dublin Virtues series. [...]

    20. This is book three in the Dublin Virtues series. I think you should at least read book one, Patience, before this, to give you the full effect of Shane and what he did.Jumping straight in here, because I'm left with one word to tell you how I feel about this book. WOW!!!!I said Patience was cute, and Equality was nice. Good, positive words for two very good books that didn't quite blow me away. But this one?? I cried a lot!! I cheered a lot. I cried some more. I was warned, but warnings never qui [...]

    21. Review originally published at Joyfully Jay ReviewsShane Boyle and Chris Anderson meet one night in a pub in Dublin. After a few drinks and a quick hook-up, both men are left feeling they have a connection, but sure they will never meet again. Until the next day when Chris walks into VikInk, helping out at the short-staffed tattoo shop as a favor for his boss. Shane also works at VikInk, but is wary of Chris after realizing that it is Chris’ boss who Shane let down in a big way when he left Du [...]

    22. 3.5 StarsWhile I enjoyed books 1 & 2, I think this one was my favorite so far. I really liked Chris, he was such a "this is me, like it or leave it" kind of guy and was not letting anyone tell him who he could be in a relationship or friends with. I was worried Shane would not be able to come back from his actions in the previous books but he really does grow up and take responsibility for his crappy attitude and his past bad actions. I thought the book was well written from both Shane and C [...]
