    1. I enjoyed the book and what an epilogue! I never saw that one coming! I would love to say more but before I write a final review, there are some background information I feel I need to know. So I will be reading the prequel A Destructive Power, Kye and Guide to the World and Characters of the Human Hybrids. Hopefully, I will get my answers after doing so. Note: The two books and guide are free and can be obtained from the author's website.

    2. I originally read and posted a review of this story for Love Bytes Reviews and I'll be honest, the book had some problems. After the author read my comments, however, she went back and extensively revised the book and has since released a second edition of the story that I was asked to read and review a second time.I am much more impressed this time around! The story still has the paranormal elements and varied groups that I enjoyed the first time around but the doomed relationship was removed in [...]

    3. I give this 2.5 **. The story telling was stilted, timeline-wise and with character development. This read a bit like a police procedural, but without much attention to detail. It flashed around from scene to scene without much description of environment changes. Most conversational dialog was very short and sometimes abrupt. Character development was in the same vein.

    4. I am sorry to say. I tried reading the story and it seem to have good ideas. But to me seem like to many things were going on. The first 150 pages or less there was so much going on. Seem to lighten as you get past that. But I still couldn't finish the story. I really tried and stopped reading and came back and tried again. But there was just to much of something that was making it hard for me to really get into the story or the characters. The book really seemed like one I would really like. I [...]

    5. I had a hard time with this book & might go back & attempt it again. I did not finish the story. It was confusing and I still am having a hard time trying to figure out the world. At this time I will not be continuing on with this seriesC rec'd from the author in exchange for an honest review.

    6. 3 1/2 starsThis was an interesting representation of a world dealing with the incorporation of new species, five different paranormal species, now living among humans.I have a lot of questions about these species, something that could have been addressed with a couple of pages at the beginning of the book. This is a very simplistic view of a convoluted world. There is almost an innocence to the viewpoint. The law enforcement aspects of the book were a disappointment. I need more intelligence gathe [...]

    7. This is an intense and mystery romance read. I enjoyed the paranormal aspect in this book. The characters were likable and I loved the ending. I look forward to reading more in this series.I received a copy for an honest review.

    8. I do not normally read paranormal anymore and I was a glutton for it years ago.  I think I simply burned myself out on the genre.  But I saw Ms. Solomon's Human Hybrids series and decided to take a peek. The story's MCs are very well crafted, their back stories fully fleshed out and the supporting characters (some you love and someke Daelinyou love to hate) really round out the story in a good way.  It was really busy, and the protagonist was a real surprise, but I probably would have done wel [...]

    9. This had potential, but it was just never seized. Never from a lack of love or interest on the author's part, but more a lack of ability to cut the characters loose and them be a little crazy and do a little unexpected things and be unrestrained. Even if it's just in their heads. They were all so wooden and predictable and even the abrupt shift and sudden "I love yous" that came from nowhere.I have never had a book consistently keep putting me to sleep. Even writing the review. Until this one. R [...]

    10. Edited to add:The author has let me know that had an old description of the book up, which is where a lot of the confusion came in. now has the correct version up. I'm upping my rating to 4 stars, as it was a mistake on part, not by the author. If you read the correct blurb above, the book should make a lot more sense now :) I'm really not sure what to make of this book. On the one hand it was very well written with a good plot and interesting characters. On the other, I'm feeling a bit let do [...]

    11. The First book of the Human Hybrids series by this Clare Solomon. The new world created in this book is interesting. The storyline hooked me from the beginning I was unable to put in down and read it in one night. I loved how Pal and Brand`s relationship developed slowly as both had lost loved ones recently and they take time to get to know each other and fell in love over time. The story is more of a Detective Mystery with romantic elements, rather than a romance with a bit of mystery.Overall a [...]

    12. Umm, no, this did not work for me. It's too long, provides the same information over and over again, is far too heavy on the tell vs. show, has a 'love' that is rejected for ridiculous reasons and then has a sudden and unbelievable turnaround, a mystery that is solved with far too much ease and a second that drags on eternally, a doctor that never doctors and a world with five types of humans that isn't really explored beyond wendigos bad everyone else good. Solomon has a good idea here and I li [...]

    13. **BOOK RECEIVED FOR HONEST REVIEW ** Total 3.5 Stars 5 star for the paranormal 4 Stars for the plot3 Stars for the characters 2 star for the style i really liked the paranormal aspect of the book, it's not your normal paranormal as we used too. the end seemed a bit rushed other than that and a few smaller mistakes the book is really good! I liked Pal's character and Brand's too.Enjoy!

    14. This was an interesting one. It introduced characters fast and they took off flying. It's good but also a bit rough at times because I had a hard time concentrating on each individual character but once I figured everyone out it got easier to keep track of. It was a really good plot and characters. I am glad I got to review this one and am curious to see what the next book is like
