Maddie is an engineer in the 20th century who quite suddenly finds herself in medieval Scotland and forced to marry the laird Rowan Murray because of a prophecy and a vow he made to marry the next woman he findsd she'll save the clan. The good things: plenty of angst, plenty of drama.
