    1. Another brilliant novel by Heidi Skarie. Being a big fan of her work, I was so excited to finally read her latest novel and once again lose myself in the beautiful stories she creates with the ever-present mystical atmosphere and spiritual wisdom.Annoure and the Dragon Ships is set in 8th century England and Norway and tells a story of a young noble girl called Annoure who is kidnapped by the Vikings to become a slave. However, her strong, brave spirit wins the heart of Thorstein, the man who ca [...]

It's definitely a period of time which interests me and the author did it justice with the great descriptions and a real sense of atmosphere and being there. But I think if this story was set in any era it would succeed, partly due to the strong, courageous central character of Annoure who never gives up. It's a touching story as well as a exciting adventure [...]
