    1. This book, written at a second-grade level, containing countless spelling and grammar errors, was written by a grown-man. That grown-man is Sticn of Dead Prez. stickn explains rap concepts such as "simile", "metaphor", "intro", "verse" and "flow". Patronizing to even a retard, this book is unintentionally comical. It is impossible for me to read this book without feeling slightly embarrassed for the author. It's my kind of book.

    2. Author sticn is one-half of the brilliant and incendiary rap group dead prez. I sought out his self-published guide to lyricism hoping that some of his advice would subconsciously seep into my writerly being.I'm not sure if that's happened, but I'd still recommend the book.

    3. I have to say this book would be perfect for anyone interesting in the art of emceeing! Stic. Man gives you true and honest insight on the hip hop and rap scene and offers excellent advice! If this book wasn't so flawed with it's grammatical errors I would've given it 5/5 stars.

    4. If you have potentially never rapped a line in your life but would like to then this book would be pretty neat. Otherwise it is so basic, i teach more advanced in my workshops

    5. "learning to be an emcee is the same as training to become a boxer, because you can apply the lessons to everyday life"
