When sorting books for my church's rummage sale last month, I had the charming surprise of unpacking two boxes of very old books, many of them children's books (multiple copies of "The Davinci Code" and "Windows 95 for Dummies" being more typical donations). Shabby as they were, and almost certainly without much actual value, they were still just the sort of books *I* would love to browse through at a sale, and so I happily created a little "vintage books" section.     2. Rating based on liking the story back in my late teens when I got a copy, and re-reading it several times thereafter. It’s been too long to recall things like writing style, but I found it easy to read and an enjoyable story.

    3. I probably would've given this beautiful old book more stars, but the writing was so dated. I found the book in an old bookstore and I imagine the book was written for young adults.
