    1. Brink of Passion is the six installment of Alpine Woods Shifters. In this installment you’ll find romance, danger, and some lighthearted funny moments. Author Sondrae Bennett does not disappoint her readers as she give us another fun, adventurous romance story that will leave you panting for more. If you have kept up with the installments you know heroine Laurie is introduced in book one and continues to pop in and out in silhouettes thought the series. Since her name is spelled the same as mi [...]

    2. Reviewed by AngelaBook provided by Sondrae BennettReview originally posted at Romancing the BookIt’s been awhile since I have read a paranormal romance book, but after reading the book’s description I was looking forward to this one. Sondrae Bennett pulled me in from the first page. In Brink of Passion there isn’t a lot of unnecessary story that just bogs down the main plot. She jumps right into the main story. We are greeted with the spitfire of a female lead in Laurie. Laurie is the type [...]

    3. The Alpine Woods Shifters series are quick reads that I tend to pick-up when I’m not in the mood to get involved in a full-length book. While I have enjoyed the earlier books in the series, this one wasn’t all that great. Wolf-shifter Laurie has stumbled across her mate, Max, at a convention and makes a mistake that has their courtship going faster than she would like. Now she finds herself suddenly having to sell her business and move to a new city where she knows no one. My main issue with [...]

    4. So glad to finally read Laurie's story, and it is one full of action and humour. It took me a little while to warm up to Max and the leap, but I am certainly intrigued about some of leap members, especially Tyler. And that bit at the end, wow!I do hope we still see some of the Alpine Woods characters still as I love them, and I love the Alpine Woods setting. That was the only downside for me that Laurie had to move to New York, not a bad setting, but I'm not a city person.I'm bumping up all my r [...]

    5. I'm one of the few fans of this series who wasn't interested in Laurie's story. This book was entertaining enough it just didn't (as I knew it probably wouldn't with Laurie) have that awesome angst that has been great in the other books of this series. Most notably with Gwen, Julie and Missy's stories. Actually, reflecting back on the story there was so much great potential for angst that wasn't taken which I found really disappointing. I kept thinking 'here it comes!' Only to be let down with L [...]

    6. 4 starsI've been waiting for this book for so long and I really enjoyed it. Laurie was a very funny character and Max was a great foil for Laurie's personality. I loved the humour in this book it was fun and I really enjoyed the nicknames which was a little theme through the entire book. There was one thing that I found a little annoying was that the storyline regarding the rhino was never finished - it seemed that way to me, I expected the rhino to pop up and demand to have a drink with Laurie. [...]

    7. Laurie's story. She goes to a conference, meets her mate the first day and gets marked. Hey. happens.Laurie is my favourite character and has been from she was first mentioned, liked how her story played out. Kittylol

    8. I found it frustrating that the hero was somewhat patronizing of the heroine - keeping things from her "for her own good". bleh.
