    1. Glory's Rival was an exciting, albeit, sometimes aggravating story. Cindy McClean is worried that her sister Samantha will run her filly Shining against Cindy's colt Glory and Cindy doesn't want to compete with her sister because she selfishly wants Glory to win the Breeder's Cup Classic. I liked the story but have never been a fan of Cindy, she's a whiny no-it-all who constantly makes the assumption of a horses talent based on its looks, when in reality a horses looks has no indication of the h [...]

    2. I really like this book. Cindy could not stand the suspense of waiting for Samantha to decide whether she was going to enter Shining in the Distaff or the Classic. I almost hoped that they would have run against each other. But in the end, Glory was as amazing as ever and Shining was too!

    3. A great series for tweens that love horses and/or are interested in horseback riding or racing. Teaches about the struggles of working with animals and the benefits.
