    2. Very creative stories about American monsters. The stores were great around-the-campfire type tales with just enough scary. The illustrations were also fabulously done. Great reading for monster lovers everywhere and I can't wait for the next volume. (Maybe Delaware will be in the next one!)

    3. 3.5 starsWhen I saw this in the bookstore, I knew I had to have it. A short story collection based on the crypotzoology and folklore of America? And fully illustrated? Sign me the hell up.This slim (but large) volume has 18 stories, each of them focusing on a different state. They are all quite short, between about 10 and 2 pages. The variety is pretty astounding: while they are all technically horror, there's everything from bizarro to new weird to experimental flash fiction to traditional camp [...]

    4. I won this book in a giveaway. Great stories about monsters of America. The stores were great with enough 'words of fear'. The illustrations were also great.
