    1. Book #17Finally a new set of FG residents for us to enjoy ☺Phoebe has just been 'let go' at her real estate job in LA. Just because she wanted to help a colleague that seems to be a thing with her. people. No more, she decides and takes her friend Maya up on her invitation to visit her step-brother's ranch in Fool's GoldZane has been raising his now 17 year old brother Chase for what seems like forever. And that boy is intent on giving him prematurely gray hair. He's too smart for his own good [...]

    4. This was a fun, fluffy read. I really liked Phoebe. She's sort of flighty, but not in a dumb way. I loved that she talked to the animals and apologized to trees and I especially loved everything about the raccoons. Zane is the typical gruff, stoic cowboy. He's got a lot going on and the responsibility is a lot for one person. It was amusing to see each MC react to the other. There are a lot of characters and multiple POVs. Normally, that's not something I care for, but in this instance, I was in [...]

    5. Two-haiku review:She might lose her jobFriend invites on cattle driveMeets friend's ex step broLoved both her and himLiked subplot with children, tooVery nice romance

    6. This is one of the very best contemporary romances that I've read this year.  I LOVED it.  I loved the new and different Fools' Gold people as well as some old friends I've  read about in earlierbooks in the series.  Phoebe, the main female character was a delight.  She had me laughing out loud on several occasions, and Zane made me ache for the burdens he carried. There were minor characters who had issuesme funny to me, and some heart-rending. I haven't dound many 5 Stars book this year, b [...]

    7. Very good book, mainly about Phoebe and Zane, but also with some terrific secondary characters. It begins with Zane, owner of Nicholson Ranch, and older brother/guardian to seventeen year old Chase, discovering that Chase has advertised a cattle drive vacation for tourists and accepted reservations and payments. The circumstances of how this came about, and Chase's attempts to deal with it are pretty amusing to the reader, but definitely not to Zane. Zane is furious and determined that Chase wil [...]

    10. KISS ME is the 17th book in the Fools Gold series by Susan Mallery, and I continue to be amazed that Mallery can come up with such different stories for one series. I am so glad they are still entertaining, new characters are introduced, and the happily ever afters never stop. The characters make this book different and special. Phoebe is smart, funny and snarky. At first glance you can tell she has a heart of gold and because of that people tend to take advantage of her good nature. She grew up [...]

    11. What a story! Mallery engages readers on multiple fronts, allowing them to experience real life for these residents of Fool’s Gold. Self-discovery & familial responsibility vie with budding relationships and some real adventure. Everything was so vivid. I could just as easily picture being on the cattle drive as I could sitting on the ranch house. Those of us following the series have been IN Fool’s Gold many times before, but coming into the town, seeing the approach from fresh eyes wit [...]

    12. As I selected this book as part of the books that I would review this year I originally thought that I would find a bittersweet romance hidden within the pages of the story. I'm not sure that I did. The author did deliver the romance but the struggle for the characters to acheive their romance was a bit of an unpaved road that I am not sure that I enjoyed the ride as much as I should have. One of the biggest faults with this book is Zane. He came off way too stern for someone who had more than an [...]

    13. Susan Mallery always seems to find new ways to keep her Fools Gold series fresh and this new book is definitely fresh. Phoebe Kitzke has a big heart and that unfortunately gets her in trouble from time to time. After helping her boss she finds herself in court but luckily not in jail. While she waits to see if the fall out from her problems lead to more permanent issues she heads to Fools Gold to help her friend and get away. Rancher Zane is trying to teach his younger brother how to be a adult [...]

    14. All the fun we have come to expect from Fool's Gold including some of our favorite cameos. This installment is a refreshing twist with most of the story happening in the wilderness while on the cattle drive. Old hurts are healed and new relationships are forged.Oh Phoebe, maybe it's the name. She is nice to everyone, and gets taken advantage of at every opportunity. Phoebe is a Realtor in trouble. At work she helps people find affordable housing. When dating she solves problems only to be left b [...]

    15. I'm always happy to read a new book in this series because I love the town of Fool's Gold and all of their endless festivals. However this one was lacking that for me. I think it was because while the story was set in Fool's Gold, most of it took place out of town with little of the previous characters butting in.I did like the cattle drive, loved how everyone changed on the trip, how so many old hurts were healed, but I wanted the crazy of the town. I do think that Phoebe will be a great additi [...]

    16. I listen to all of Susan Mallery's books on CD and usually really enjoy them; however, I didn't like this one at all. Very boring, ridiculous story line and totally predictable ending. Disappointing.

    17. 4.0/5 starsCool heroine. sexy cowboy hero. Lots of animals <3. Hot sex scenes. It had all the right elements for a good romance. I didn't care much for the other POVs but I understood the choice.

    18. Una storia carina, all'inizio un pò caotica però semplice e romanticacensione completa quiimieimagicimondi/2

    19. 4.5 StarsNote: I received an eARC of this title from the publisher in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I was not paid to write this.I don’t know what it is about Susan Mallery’s Fool’s Gold series, but thus far I’ve loved every one I’ve read. Kiss Me is probably even my favorite thus far. In Kiss Me, Phoebe, a woman with a heart of gold and the need to continuously help those in need, finds herself in a predicament, which may cost her her job. Her he [...]

    21. My Review:This book took a different turn for a Fool's Gold story. After 17 installments to the series, there are certain things that I've come to expecte small town festivals, gossip, and Mayor Marsha. But this book was different. This one takes place almost entirely on Zane's family ranch and during this cattle drive that he's been forced to take greenhorn's on to teach his younger brother a lesson about life. It was different, but I like that Susan Mallery is mixing it up a bit. There's a whol [...]

    22. With a heart so kind, you wouldn't think someone like Phoebe Kitzke would have fate going against her. She's been without a family since childhood, she caught her boyfriend sleeping with the 18-year-old intern she hired, and to top it all off, her real estate license has been suspended for the next month after she tried to help her boss. She swears off favors, until her best friend Maya convinces her to help out on her ex-step-brother's ranch in Fool's Gold. Cue in cowboy-stud Zane Nicholson, wh [...]

    23. This has a lot of charming scenes, some that you just have to laugh at. Lots of drama, heart warming scenes and a couple of love scenes.Phoebe Kitzke is a kind person that always wants to help and people take advantage of her. She is single with no relatives. Maya is her best friend. She is a real estate agent in Hollywood, CA.Zane Nicholson is a rancher he is 5th generation. He is raising his young half brother. He wants him not to regret his mistakes. But his brother has messed up badly.Chase' [...]

    24. This is the seventeenth book in the Fool's Gold series and it features Phoebe and Zane. Phoebe lives in L.A. but at the behest of her friend Maya she has come to check up on Zane and his brother. Zane is taking clients out on a fake/real cattle drive and needs help to make sure that everyone comes back to the ranch in one piece. He wouldn't even be doing the drive if not for his brother's scheme to make some money. Phoebe is happy to help despite knowing next to nothing about ranch life or even [...]

    25. While this wasn't my favorite of the "Fool's Gold series, it wasn't a bad read. A bit formulaic, but then what romance really isn't?This wasn't really a relationship based book-it was more of a personality 'flaw' based story. Zane is the hero and his flaw is that he can't seem to forgive and nobody can seem to live up to his standards. But of course he is hiding a bit of a secret.Phoebe on the other hand, if I didn't know that she was supposed to be 27, I would have pegged her to be 18 or 19her [...]

    26. What a disappointment! I can't think of a better way to punish a 17 year old computer genius who advertises a cattle drive business online that does not exist, takes money from people to participate in the bogus cattle drive, and then loses all the money on day trading in the stock market, than for the older stepbrother to agree to lead the made up cattle drive with no mention of a business license, no insurance, no research, no nothing. That'll teach him. Not to mention putting the older brothe [...]

    27. For some reason that I can't explain, I never felt a strong attachment to Paige and Zane the way I normally do with Susan Mallery's characters. I didn't dislike them. I just never got caught up in them - they remained from beginning to end, two-dimensional characters from a book, rather than becoming people I was invested in. Zane had a strange shift partway through the book. He went from this "I don't love, because love makes you weak" mentality to all of a sudden, declaring his love to Paige w [...]

    28. Wow. So happy to be back in Fool's Gold with the cowboys. City meets country for real! There were cowboys and green horns and lots of animals. Loved Zane and Phoebe even with all her quirks like talking to animals. She got him when no one else does - even his family. Lucy and Tommy were cute kids that were dealt a bad hand in life. It was good to see them enjoying their adventure on the cattle drive along with others who had never done something like this. There was laughter, tears, fear, secret [...]
