    1. I read the first novel in the Three Disgraces series only so I could read the third (Saving Lord Verwood) with some degree of understanding. The book itself is rather boring, but the characters are fine and I didn't regret reading it.

    2. This is the first in Elena Greene's Three Disgraces series, a regency about three young women who met in school and remained close friends despite family and social pressures. Lady Catherine, a duke's daughter, is lovely, spirited, and despised by her father and stepmother. After attempting to elope with a notorious rake (to escape from her cold, disdainful family), Lady Catherine is banished by her father to stay with her spinster aunts in Cumberland. 3. Lady Catherine Harcourt is about to elope with Lord Verwood when her father intervenes. 4. thanks first reads and the author for allowing me to win t his novel.while at first it is a slow start it actually picks up and fast and i loved the characters and the story line.I cant wait for the other three books in the three disgraces seriesis is a book that kept me hooked to see what would happen nextanks again for this opportunity and am looking foreward to other books from elena greene.

    5. Well written though could have used a few more details for me. I liked that you knew she had a secret but you didn't quite know what it was until the end. Will definitely be getting the 2nd book. This was a great First reads.

    6. For those who love Jane Austen, this is a charming pastiche. It's teeny bit slow for those used to modern romances, but was perfect for the genre and was most "diverting." ;)
