    1. Original Blog Post: headouttheoven/20Review: The Reilly Coven Series 1 & 2 by Christine ShawMy Rating: 2 of 5 StarsSo I read the blurb for Deep Down In His Heart and thought this would be a standalone type of book even if it were labelled Book 2 of the Reilly Coven series and then proceeded to read. By the fifth or 6th page, I knew I was lost. Yes, there were some backstory but somehow they came out vague and jumpy and I thought, "why not read the first installment?" So I did. I read the blu [...]

    2. This one didn't do much for me, sorry. I wanted to like it but it just wasn't happening. First there were a lot of errors, missing words, wrong words and the sentence structure was awkward in a lot of places, not wrong, just awkward and reading it felt like driving down a dirt road (if you've never done that BUMPY is the word you are looking for here). I seem to remember a few sentences that made no sense at all to me. I'd go back and fetch my comments and highlighted sections, but I think I was [...]

    3. I REALLY wanted to read this book. The series sounded good and I thought it might be another of my guilty reads. Unfortunately this author has a lot to learn. There are large plot holes, the editing was awful, and the feel of the characters changed. I when I first started running into problems I didn't think too much of it, I wasn't expecting a great book just a comfort read. This didn't last. The author is obviously not American but was, I think, writing at story based in America, or at least o [...]

    4. Yikes. Well, at least the blurb made it sound interesting. Other than that, I can't say too many good things about this. Instalove that even I couldn't stand, plot holes abundant (like why were those otherDamned? vampires constantly attacking their house? Why didn't Robb die when his wife died? Vampire rulesey kinda seemed just like regular people other than drinking bagged blood). It just seemed a bit all over the place. I don't know, it was just a rough story to get through. ETA: Oh yeah, and [...]

    5. Pretty good start to the series. But im hoping that the future books have a bit more substance and a little bit better plot tracking. There were times when i felt like " how did we get here?"But I enjoyed it and look forward to the brothers getting their mates. I liked that we started with the dad for once

    6. written for mmgoodbookreviews.wordpress/Robb is a vampire a very old one. He had a chosen female mate and she has died but he hasn’t, which confuses him since mates usually die with each other They and nine sons all of which they had adopted. Now he has to move on, his focus is his business and his coven of 9 sons. He can’t cook so he hires a chef.Smith was raised in a vampire coven and was always fascinated with them and had always secretly wished he could be a true blood mate for one but k [...]

    7. 2.5 tentatively rounded up.This was muddled. The editing, the grammar, the plot. It needed about three or four rewrites but even one would've helped. This was iffy even for siren. There were places that seemed to imply a long passage of time but really meant a single day. There were info dumps and I'm sorry but "dreaded ones"? I wasn't sure if it was intentionally silly or not. It's hard to believe all his sons would be fine with dad being both suddenly gay and in a deeper more meaningful relati [...]

    8. The story was too simple and a bit predictable. I was hoping for a little more pizzazz since this was the first book of the series.
