    1. 1 starI guess this is karma, right? I read Catching Liam and I was totally in love - filled with hope for more NA books I could completely fall in love with - and then the SAME AUTHOR just has to ruin everythinggggggggg. Teaching Roman is just blah. So bad, it's almost hilarious but for the fact that I want to cry. I can't even believe the sheer stupidity that happened in this book. But I'll try to keep calm and explain. My basic problem with Teaching Roman is that it is nothing but sex. And I li [...]

    2. I'm a huge fan of Gen's! I've read all her books and LOVE them all. I had been waiting for the release of Teaching Roman for a while and let me tell you the wait was worth it!I loved Catching Liam, it was Gen's new adult debut and it was awesome. My review can be found here. It was similar to most new adults yet completely different at the same time. It didn't really follow any of the new adult tropes and neither did Teaching Roman. We originally met Jess in Catching Liam so I was already hyped [...]

    3. This was a quick read. Finished in one sitting. The usual storyline, a supposed fling with an expiration date and both Adam and Eve don't realize how so very into each other both are.

    4. (View this review on My Library in the Making.)Catching Liam was one of my favorite NA reads of 2013, and I was so happy when I learned that there would be more. Unlike Jillian, the protagonist of the first book, Jessica is the careful girl. She has her entire life mapped out, with her plans circling around her dream of becoming a doctor. But when Brett, her long-time "safe" boyfriend, kneels and asks her the question, her life gets derailed. She runs off to Mexico with Cassie who's also nursing [...]

    5. I've been waiting for ages for Teaching Roman to come out. I really liked Albin's NA debut, Catching Liam, but I was even more excited for Teaching Roman because I love a good old forbidden romance. Unfortunately, I was incredibly let down by this book. I apologize if this sounds harsh, but it read like such a sloppy and hasty piece of work. Jess was someone I admired in the first book, so I was happy that she was getting her story, but she, along with her love interest, Roman, were underdevelop [...]

    6. WOW! This book is a powerful love story that grips your heart and takes you along on the ups and downs of a couple that truly finds love in an unexpected place. Jessica is a pre-med student who has a five year plan and lots of lists of things to do. When her boyfriend proposes, she has one thought, RUN!! I can’t say I blame her…he wasn’t very exciting. She has always had a secret crush on an old professor of hers, Roman Markson. When she decides to run from her problems with one of her bes [...]

    7. I really enjoyed this book. It was a quick and light read. I feel like we didn't get much of a character development but aside from that it was nice. It had a nice mix of some funny and sexy moments. Perfect for the summer.

    8. Ok seriously getting angry with the authorBack to back delays is just plain irritating!I won't be reading the book

    9. I was lucky enough to be given an ARC of this book by the author and I am in a happy place after reading this beautiful story. If you were a fan of Catching Liam and Unwrapping Liam you will have been like me I am sure and in desperate need of Jess's story. Jess was the good girl of their group, the one who was reliable, made lists, studied hard and had her future planned out but sometimes life takes an unexpected detour. Jess's story may not carry the same angst as Jillian's but her story was n [...]

    10. There was a lot about this book that I liked and a lot that I didn’t. I liked the premise and it all kicked off to a good start, but there just wasn’t much to the characters other than their physical relationship. After a week they are basically underlying the fact that they’re in love with each other but they barely spent any time together other than in bed. I also feel like the rest of the book didn’t come together well either. It was a will they or won’t they for the second half whe [...]

    11. Talk about a hot steamy read! I really enjoyed Teaching Roman, and loved that we get a little more of Liam and Jillina! Can't wait for the next one.

    12. 4.5/5 starsAfter reading and LOVING Catching Liam last year, I couldn't wait to get my hands on Jess's story in Teaching Roman! Gennifer does such a great job with her characterization and it is one of my favorite aspects of this story. Even though this is Jess and Roman's novel, the side characters play such a central role in really making this story come alive. We are so invested in them and their relationships with one another and that is what really drew me in. I also adored Jess and Roman a [...]

    13. Review originally posted at Ramblings From This ChickI have been waiting for Teaching Roman ever since I finished Catching Liam by Gennifer Albin. This book is the second in the Good Girls Don't series, and I couldn't wait to get more of Jess and Roman. It has not been an easy wait, and this book had delay after delay. But it was definitely worth it to wait, because I really enjoyed the story and I loved Jess and Roman even more than I did before reading this book. It was great to catch up with [...]

    14. Originally Reviewed At: Mother/Gamer/WriterRating: 4 out of 5 ControllersReview Source: TourReviewer: MeLighthearted, cute, funny, and simply delightful, Teaching Roman is a naughty New Adult romance that’s sure to make you smile. To begin, I’m a HUGE Albin fan. Her Crewel Series (imagine epic science fiction with a delectable romance) has me doing somersaults and a tad bit curious to check out her other works. Not to mention she’s a sweet, sweet lady and funny too. When I realized she had [...]

    15. **I RECEIVED THIS NOVEL FROM THE AUTHOR IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW**Okay, so I'm behind on this one too *sigh*I'm not going to lie I signed up for the ARC of this book on name alone. I wanted to feed my obsession mild infatuation with Roman Reigns and with the hero being named Roman, it'd be an easy stretch. And I was NOT disappointed.I have been in Jessica's shoes before having developed a 'schoolgirl' crush on my choir teacher is high school. I totally understood how Jessica felt when Cas [...]

    16. Review posted Book Lovin' MamasFeels like I have been waiting ages for this book, but in the end it was definitely worth the wait. Although, I did rate this book lower than the first, but I have my reasons, but I still definitely enjoyed reading Roman and Jess's story. I read Catching Liam last year and loved reading Jillian and Liam's story, so I was anxious to find out about Roman and his love interest. One of the things I enjoyed most about Teaching Roman was how Roman and Jess got together. I [...]

    17. Teaching Roman was not your typical student/teacher romance. It was filled with longing for a love that consumes you, makes you want to be with that person, think about that person and love them with all of your heart and soul even if you shouldn't, even when it goes against all of your carefully laid plans. I would rate this book 3.5 stars and recommend that others take the rollercoaster ride with Jess and Roman. After a horrible break-up, Jess's best friend Cassie convinces her to take a trip d [...]

    18. I am a sucker for student/teacher relationships. It might be the whole forbidden aspect, it might be the overall feeling of wanting something you can’t have, but I find that these types of books just have that something extra to offer—if done right.I’ll start with the romance because of the rapid way in which the story is introduced. Things pick up pretty quickly at the beginning of Teaching Roman—we meet Jessica and shortly thereafter, Roman makes an appearance that leaves Jess turned o [...]

    19. For more of this review and others like it, check out my blog, Rampant Readers. Why I Picked It UpI adored Jillian and Liam’s story in Catching Liam and was interested to see what Gennifer Albin came up with for Jessica’s story.PlotFor me, Teaching Roman wasn’t as strongly written of a novel. It seemed rushed at times and it was a bit unrealistic at points. Jess was part of a pretty recent break up after she refused to marry her boyfriend–and literally days later is lusting after her old [...]

    20. **This book was given to me by the publisher in exchange for an honest review**Seriously one of the CUTEST stories I've ever read. Nice fluffy HEA.This is my first NA read by Gennifer Albin and I can definitely say that I would like to read more. It's books like this that make me appreciate New Adult fiction and its potential. This is not a heavy read, but there are a lot of relatable moments for me, personally, and I'm sure that others will find some aspects to relate to as well. Everyone has b [...]

    22. Teaching Roman was a sweet and sexy story that totally kept my interest from start to end. I found the characters to be very likable and the situation true to life, both adding to the enjoyment of the reading. While it's presented as a teacher/student romance, I didn't see any problem with their relationship from the start since Jessica wasn't in Roman's class any longer, plus this is college-not high school-so you're talking about all adults now. I could understand a conflict if she was current [...]

    23. This is the second novel in Gennifer Albin's Good Girls Don't series. I have to say that I really saw an improvement in Albin's writing. You could see more depth in the writing as well as more plot. It really made this novel more enjoyable, and I really loved it.Jessica is someone that I can really relate to (except when she tries really hard in school because I certainly don't :/ ). She cares and she's worries over everything and how it will affect her future. It really made her more realistic [...]

    24. Teaching Roman was a very sweet and romantic story about following your heart. Jessica Stone has her life mapped out. She is a stickler for order in her life. She is on her way to becoming a doctor and likes her life easy and simple. When her friend Cassie finds her boyfriend cheating on her, Cassie calls for a getaway to Mexico to get over him. Jessica doesn't really want to go, but after breaking up with her boring boyfriend, she agrees. Roman Markson is on his way home to visit family in Mexi [...]

    25. This is a wonderful teacher/student romance book. It had so many parts that had me literally laughing out loud and was such a feel good book. Jess goes on a Mexican vacation with her BFF Cassie who is trying to heal her broken heart. Right before they plan the trip Jess is asked to get married by her boyfriend Brett, but she just doesn't see him as her HEA, so she says no. The two girls go down to Mexico and have a great vacation together that had me cracking up and Jess sees Roman and the two o [...]

    26. Original review at Gabic Reads as part of the Teaching Roman Blog Tour.Gennifer's writing is short and succinct. I love it! Jessica's story was told perfectly. No flowery descriptions, which is perfect for her personality. Jessica and Roman are perfect for each other. Roman brings out Jessica's wild, impulsive, fun side.Jessica is a control freak. She's constantly making lists in her head. Everything has to be orderly. And above all, nothing can get in the way of med school. She's constantly stu [...]

    27. *Reviewed on Behalf of Give Me Books****4 Stars***I really liked this book! Jess is a girl who really focuses on school and making lists. In the beginning of the book she has a boyfriend named Brett. He was safe and boring. Needless to say, their relationship didn't last. She ends up running into her former teacher when they both take a trip to Mexico. It starts as a fling, but you know how that goes. Jess is worried about breaking the rules so she kept pushing Roman away even when they had fall [...]

    28. ROSE'S REVIEW - This book had me at student/teacher romance, I just love those books. I haven't read anything from Gennifer Albin before and look forward to reading more of her books. While the main story was about Jessica and Roman you got to read and feel involved with the other characters. I truly felt like I was in the room with the characters. Well that's wishful thinking ~ Beach, Sun and cocktails!! lol They catch up while both on holidays and agree to spend a week together ~ What is done [...]
