    1. This second adventure in the "fantasy vampire" world with the feudal structure where vampires hold most, if not all, the positions of power, tells the story of Tavok, Ettore's younger brother who briefly appeared in book one, and Lance, the servant of the female vampire who kidnapped Ettore's mate. While she herself is dead, she has a very "worthy" and super-villainous successor in her twin brother, Lord Kadlin, who makes life impossible for poor Tavok and Lance.Tavok is overjoyed when he finds [...]

    2. This is darker than the first book but still had a dose of sweetness and lots of steamy sex. The non-con scene caught me unawares (because I didn't read the warning). Looking forward to Fredric and Satoru's turn.

    3. Finally we get more sex! The first in the series was decidedly sexlessThe role reversals in the bedroom were hot and added a sense of realness to the story.

    4. First Re-read 30 December 2017I'd forgotten how much happens in this one. Perhaps I blocked it out because I wanted to remember only the good things about this world? If I were rating this one for the first time I'd give it a 3, as it wasn't as much fun to read as the others are. I'll let the rating stand, however, just because this book introduces Satoru.Him, I very definitely remember, and he's one of my favorite characters from these series. And I can't wait to get to re-read his story next.F [...]

    5. thetbrpile.weebly/1/post/2Although this is the second book in the series and refers to things that must have happened in the first one, enough details were given to keep me from having any problems following the plot. I enjoyed watching the two main characters try to find out how they would fit together and that the "one and only mate" aspect did not mean smooth sailing, even though both seemed to automatically assume that they would work things out together.

    6. Very exciting second installment in this first trilogy of the vampires of Valldora. I really liked Lance and Tavok, more so than the MC's in book one. These two characters seemed more real to me, as people.I'm curious to see where the author is going to go, not just with this trilogy, but the future ones. I think Fredric and Saturo's story is going to be very drama filled and I'm looking forward to it.
