    1. A must read for all who aspire to change our world. An Australian of the Year winner Shanaka Fernando shares his journey through many of the World's cultures before beginning his 'Lentil as Anything' restaurants' where you decide what you pay. He has become an initiator of a new way of living based on trust and sharing not profit and greed. At his restaurants all are feed with care and dignity whatever they are able to pay. A fascinating read and a new way forward for a struggling planet.

    2. There's no doubt Lentil as Anything is a brilliant idea and they're the reason I wanted to read Shanaka's story. But I was disappointed by it being 3/4 extended travel story that seemed like a brag. He struck me as being suspiciously Tree Wizardish (patronising quasi-spiritual self obsessed dude)I was interested by his reflections on his upbringing, and on the evolution of Lentil, but they made up a very small part of the book. You win some, you lose some hey?
