    1. I thought I would love this book because I love mountains, but in reality, this books was terrible. The only reason I didn't like it (which is probably not even a good reason) is the fact the writing is such simple English. It is infuriating because it just simply describes everything like a recount which I hated. I do not like this book!!!!

    2. Reaching the Summit: Edmund Hillary’s Life of Adventure by Alexa Johnston (DK Publishing 2005)(Biography). This authorized biography follows Hillary from his childhood in New Zealand through the summiting of Everest to his later years. Special notice is paid to his philanthropic efforts and achievements on behalf of the Sherpas. My rating: 7/10, finished 2006.

    3. Bruce Willis, Stallone and all the other action stars together couldn't play Sir Hillary if the biopic were made. Talk about an indomitable will. I know he has his detractors, but reading this gave me an new insight into men who must go their own path, challenge themselves where others think it's foolish or reckless.
