    1. This is a wonderful story which made me smile and re-appreciate the meaning of Christmas. I loved reading about Jesse, who is totally disillusioned. Christmas is ruined for him, and while it isn't clear, at first, exactly what happened, the gradual revealing of his reasons added a nice extra layer to the story. Equally, the gradual thawing of his heart as he meets and gets to know Gabriel is the perfect setup for a heart-warming story. it is an interesting variation on the Christmas grinch story [...]

    2. This was a sweet, sappy Christmas love story. Jesse had become a bitter and jaded man when his partner left him on Christmas Eve a year ago. A photographer by trade, Jesse has to fulfill a contract for a series of pictures starting from December first and continuing through Christmas. I enjoyed the whole village feel of Eden Vale. Diana, Gabriel and Jesse were all well drawn characters that felt very real to me. The ending was HEA in true RJ Scott style. I recommend this short story for anyone l [...]

    3. This is exactly how Christmas stories should be. The author paced everything perfectly for a shorter story with just enough history from Jesse to justify his feelings without taking the story backwards. That made it that much more hopeful for seeing Jesse and Gabriel together.

    4. This review can be found at Brief Encounters Reviews.Jesse is a professional photographer whose life has sucked for the last year, especially since the FBI came banging on his door looking for the man he was about to ask to marry him. Seems his soon-to-be fiance had ripped off the bank where he worked for millions of dollars, and took all of Jesse’s money with him as well. His agent tells him he’s got a job, no choice in the matter. He has to go to a small town in Vermont that was voted “b [...]

    5. Jesse Connor gets home to find his apartment ransacked and his boyfriend Jonah missing. Little does Jesse know that Jonah has literally 'robbed' the bank he worked for, and his 'illegal trading' has brought the bank down, leaving thousands of customers bankrupt including Jesse himself. The first Jesse knows about it is when the FBI come knocking on his door. Since then, his work as a successful photographer has diminished to the point where he has to accept a Christmas contract in Eden Vale, Ver [...]

    6. Awww Nice Christmas reading!!3.75*Jesse hates Xmas since he had the worst experience 2 years ago. But this year he is forced to travel to one of the most Christmassy towns to work on a Christmas theme photo series. His nightmare.BUT then he meets Gabriel and with him and his photo work start to feel again the Christmas spirit ♥

    7. 3.5-4*Jesse is a professional photographer whose boyfriend left him last Christmas taking all his savings with him.His job takes him to a very small town , where he meets Gabriel. I liked the low development and getting to know Jesse.I didn't get as much about Gabriel, except he's really good looking and seems to be close to perfect. As slow as the build up was, the ending felt a bit rushed, I really wished it had been a bit longer.

    8. This was a beautiful short novella about new hope, beauty and love. I liked it a lot. The plot was build slowly and with much care. I wouldn't mind reading more about this couple. Jesse was an unhappy photo artist and this story was written from his point of view. I liked him. Gabriel was interesting character, too but characteristically undeveloped. I would like to know more about him. That's why I say it was way to short.

    9. Aannd the Christmas story gluttony continues! This is a very good story, which it would be since it was written by RJ Scott. I loved the Christmas town with all the various activities, the descriptions of what it's like to be a photographer, and the photos that made it into the blog. The romance developed with a nice amount of UST and some very hot scenes. And, of course, there was a lovely HEA. Highly recommended.

    10. Very good holiday m/m romance about a photographer who hates Christmas because his lover left him the previous Christmas, emptying his bank account and breaking his heart. Will he be able to get into the Christmas spirit for his assignment taking daily photos in "Christmasville"?? Bonus points to RJ for including a scene that matches the cover!

    11. I thought this story was very sweet and put me in the Christmas spirit. Gabriel was exactly what Jesse needed after what Jonah did to him the prior Christmas.

    12. 3.5 stars, rounding up to 4.RJ Scott and I normally don't get along terribly well. In fact, I just checked -- and for most of the books I've read by her, I've given her only 2 star ratings. Nonetheless, I'm happy to say that this is a sweet story that has just the right amount of heartwarming-ness for a Christmas tale. The MC, Jesse, is a professional photographer who is emotionally frozen because of a terrible betrayal by his last lover on the previous Christmas Eve. Nonetheless, his agent sends [...]

    13. Ann what can I say while I was so enjoying the start the build up two hot men and the potential of lots of hot man loving,I was alas a little disappointed.i hate to not be able to rate a story higher, I feel like I'm dissing someone's pride and joy. They took the time to write it bought it to life and now I'm putting up my review, anyways to me reading jesses Christmas was like the anticipating of biting into a sweet chocolate looking forward to the delicious. Centre and then finding out someone [...]

    14. This was a great read, great characters, Jesse is rather harsh at first, and as much as you understand why, you just want to tell him not everyone is like the one from his past, but Gabriel sounds so wonderful you keep reading, hoping Jesse will get it!It was a wonderful journey through the holidays that many of us are not crazy about, for whatever reason, so to find such a pure place to spend it, away from drama, it's like you take a journey along with Jesse. There's a lot of hope in this story, [...]

    15. 21st Dec - I've had to add this to my currently reading shelf, so that it doesn't get lost within the maelstrom that is my bookshelf. I just have to get this - I already can't wait to read it!26th Dec - Awww, what a wonderful little Christmas story this was! I bought it yesterday but was so busy that I only found time to read it this afternoon, but I absolutely adored it. Short and sweet, this story totally warmed my heart. I'd love to read more about Jesse and Gabriel, and perhaps see how far [...]

    16. I thought this was a very sweet, wonderful holiday story. My one slightly negative thought that popped up somewhere in the middle of reading this was that Gabriel seemed just a bit too perfect, but I know the story was really from Jesse's POV and compared to what he had before Gabriel, well, he is perfect then! Still, this is a heart-warming story and written very well!

    17. OMG!! I loved it!!! It was such a sweet story. It remind me that you always get a second chance in love. I fell so in love with both Gabriel and Jessie.

    18. Oh myJesse and Gabriel (a name i love)is was such a romantic story and just shows you don't need hard sex or even hardly any sex in a story to keep you turning the pagesway to go R.J x

    19. I really liked this story of Jesse and Gabriel. I think there is potential for a lot of stories about these two. The whole Christmas aspect of the town was really well done. Just lovely.
