    2. ***FINAL RATING: 3.30 STARS***CATCHALLI love a good sci-fi series, especially the wild ones. It's not often we get to experience an entirely new planet, and it was fun to try that in this novel. It's fast-paced, almost a thriller, but doesn't quite reach this level. Even so, it's a major page turner that kept me up late into the night. This last installment was just as brill as the two books that came before. This review kind of makes it sound like I didn't love this book, but believe me, I didE [...]

    3. Minutes after I finished SHADES OF EARTH: OH. MY. STARS. I CAN'T EVEN. I SERIOUSLYCAN'T EVENADES OF EARTH is seriously one of thebestfinales to a YA trilogy EVER. So much action, so many secrets, so many betrayals, SO MUCH EMOTIONS. I still can't get over how much I adore this book -- and this series.Guys, you are going toLOVESHADES OF EARTH. It's definitely my favorite in this trilogy (and I love all of them), and Beth Revis just made this awesome and epic and wonderful and incredible book that [...]

    4. 3 1/2 starsI was so prepared to give this series conclusion four stars right up until that cheesy ending. I knew it was going to happen, I was hoping it wouldn't but, deep down, I just knew it would. I've given the first two books - Across the Universe and A Million Suns - four and three stars respectively, the latter rating being mainly because I thought the characters lacked development and personality, despite the fact that I love the idea behind the story. On that front, I think Ms Revis fin [...]

Totalmente recomendada. Reseña Completa: bastvilard/201

    6. Seen at Scott Reads It"Space may be the final frontier but it's made in a Hollywood basement" - Red Hot Chili PeppersThere will be spoilers for Across The Universe and A Million Suns. In this review there are no spoilers for Shades of Earth at all. You're probably asking yourself: "Why is he quoting the Red Hot Chili Peppers?". I have always wanted to go to space and discover new planets and stars. The likelihood of me going to space is probably is about as likely as me winning the lottery jackp [...]

    7. Wow. What a conclusion. And that's all I'm gonna say until closer to the release date. :)Hormonal Pre-Reviewm.wired/geekdad/2012/07/neNo. NO. FUCK no. How could Penguin do this? Those original AtU covers are my favorite covers in the entire world. Out of every book in the world, those two book covers are my absolute favorites. And then they redesign them. Seriously? We should revolt at Penguin Headquarters. All of us. Let's go!

    8. AFTER READING:This was a great ending to the series!!While I am sad to see the series go I like the way it concludedFORE READING:EDIT NUMBER WELLWHATEVER:The cover doesn't look as bad anymore. I still really really REALLY want a pretty star cover but now this cover doesn't look as flat as before. Am I making sense? Maybe? Well, I think the cover is okay (I still don't like the cover changes though)EDIT NUMBER 5:WHY ISN'T THE COVER CHANGING!!!!!!!IT NEEDS TO CHANGE!!!And if you are one of the pub [...]

    9. no no no no NO NO NO!I hate these new covers. NO! I LOVED THE OLD COVERS! WITH A PASSION! <3 <3 <3And now: < / 3They will not match as well OHMYFUCKINGGODNOOOOOOONot happy. Can you tell?

    10. I enjoyed this series. I thought it was interesting and unexpected, especially this book. However I just didn't really care for any of the characters or the romance plot line. I really liked everything else though!

    11. OH FREX THAT WAS LOONS!!!! Mind is totally blown! Maybe I'm just coming off my book high but it is 5am and after not being able to put the book down for longer than to eat and run to the bathroom a couple times I must say I thought it was a fabulously, nerve wracking, intense, epic, mind blowing conclusion!I was so excited to finally get the Frozens woken up and to see this planet and what is inhabiting it. As expected total epic chaos ensued! Distrust and lies continued. Murders around every co [...]

    13. This has been a really great series for me. I've enjoyed watching Amy and Elder's journey since the beginning, and I think the first chapter in Across the Universe is one of the most well-written first chapters in YA. I've been looking forward to Shades of Earth since I finished A Million Suns in November of 2011, and I'm here to say that this book provides great closure for a great series.First, I think it's important to note that this book is a lot different than the first two in that it doesn [...]

    14. Edit 1/4/13Sadly it didn't turn out as good as I hoped it would be. *sigh*Review to come. Pre-review:So, for Across the Universe we got this gorgeous coverAnd for A Million Suns, we were greeted with an equally stunning oneSo naturally, I was expecting something FABULOUS *fan girl moments* for the last installment, Shades of Earth. And lo and behold. That's a joke right?A personal flaw of mine is that I'm really OCD with having matching book covers so I'm really, well kind of disappointed they de [...]

    15. 3.5 starsI might raise my rating to 4 stars not sure. This book was better than the second, in my opinion. I read it in one sitting and I liked Amy more in this one. However, I can't forget the "love-triangle" maybe it wasn't a major event but it was kinda useless. I hated how Amy acted around Chris oblivious to the fact that she has a "boyfriend".Full review to come. Maybe.

    16. 3 or 3.5 stars? This was the most interesting installment of the trilogy to me and there were many moments that made me go 'WHOA' because of how it explored the sci-fi elements. However, some things were really predictable to me and a couple of things didn't feel fully explained in the end. It's a series that got better as it went along to me, but I would have a hard time giving a blanket recommendation for it. I needed some time to sit with the type of society that was being set up but I can see [...]

    17. (This is an all-inclusive review for the trilogy.) ★★★★★★★★★★[10/10]Divergent. The Hunger Games. The Mortal Instruments. I can't believe that they made movies out of those, instead of this. If they deemed twelve crazy districts and five pointless factions fit to be shown on screens, then they should have guessed that people would love to see Godspeed making its way across the universe too. The movie "Passengers" might be a consolation, but I assure you, Amy Martin and Elder D [...]

    18. WHY DID I PUT Shades of Earth OFF FOR FIFTEEN DAYS?!!! ARGHHH! Yes. Fifteen days is a long time to put off a book that was number five on your ten most anticipated books of the year. And a book that. Was. Just. Soooooooo. Good. And evil! And Good! No… IT WAS AWESOME!‘What is in our hearts is real whether we name it or let it exist only in darkness or silence.’Okay. So. Beth Revis is evil a genius an evil genius. Why can’t all YA authors be like her? Seriously. All those other authors nee [...]

    19. Ah, I'm very excited for this book. Know why? Aliens are coming. Aliens.Update: Seriously, what the FUCK is up with that cover? That does not match the first two and probably will look like crap next to my ATU and AMS.

    20. This is definitely a 4.5 stars. The entire time I was reading this I was completely at the edge of my seat and dying to know more. This series was INCREDIBLE. WOW.

    23. Initial Reaction: Damn. I love the title. Can't wait to see the cover!Final Reaction: That cover is a jokeright?

    24. Wow.Well that was one hell of a roller coaster!!Now, I did come into this book a bit nervous but that is just because I wasn’t that big on the ending for A Million Suns, but I can’t deny that I wasn’t excited to see how the story was going to end. Yep, this is the last book in this universe and I’m pretty gutted to say that, at least and this has been a truly wonderful world to read. This story will have some spoilers from the two books which I am sorry about but i’m no sure if I can ev [...]

    25. No going back now. Breathe in. Breathe out. Oh, stars, Amy, I'm sorry.Wellat was just wow. Remember when I asked for maybe just a little more peril for this final book in my last review? Well, Revis delivered. This book was everything the others were not-it had angst. It had danger. It was perilous. And I was so shocked when it became so angsty that my stomach twisted up in knots-the other books had all the things above, but in no way did they compare to the level they reached with this installm [...]

    26. * 4.5/5 stars.Wow, that was so good! What a great way to end this trilogy. I loved the first book, Across the Universe, was a bit underwhelmed by the second book, A Million Suns, and then got pleasantly surprised by this one! The best part of the book was definitely the plot. Beth Revis had the tough task of introducing a whole new planet into the story while also wrapping up plot lines from the previous books, and she managed to do that oh, so well. The story took so many twists and turns and I [...]

    27. What the hell!? I was hoping the cover would be BEAUTIFUL, and breath-taking, just like Across the Universe and A Million Suns, and this is what I got? Why do you keep changing the covers?? I'm so disappointed. Seriously.

    28. Final rating: 5/5 stars"But there’s a difference, isn’t there? Between saying goodbye and death." One word: omfgthiswassofrexingepicthatihavenowordslefttoexpresswhatithinkere, i wrote it XDAnyway. Awesome conclusionto one of my favorite ya sci fi series. I am glad that Beth Revis didn't fail me with all her glorious plot twists and awesomeness. I liked every moment of it, and i just can't help but think that i would love if this book was longer! It seemed to me too short, but still, there wa [...]

    29. It’s over. I am so sad. The last of the trilogy! But it was oh so frexing good! This was my favorite of the series. Just wow. So many secrets and betrayals, I don’t think I ever knew what was going to happen next. After the first book I had a hard time envisioning how Revis would keep the series going for two more books, but what she did was brilliant!Since this is the last of a series, I don’t want to go into the plot to much. I’ll just refer you to my review of book one: Across the Uni [...]
